Punta del Este, a three hour boat ride from Buenos Aires, is dead all year round apart from when wealthy Argentineans pop over there for their 2 to 3 month long summer break, December to Feb. During this time it generally kicks off and this year was no exception. Our body clocks adjusted to the party season from Buenos Aires, we partied till the early hours night after night, making breakfast on the beaches of La Barra at 4pm, dinner on the beaches of San Ignacio at midnight and then heading out for a night's mayhem.
Don't have too many photos as the big camera doesn't like the clubbing or the sand. New years eve we paid up for a fancy set dinner at the elegant and tasteful Los Negros and the endless excellent wine and food and fireworks and requisite tequilas made it a great meal. David drove one of the rented cars into a ditch and then we went to some club and danced our way into 06.
